Weekend Update

Went to the 7th annual NY Knit-Out & Crochet Event in Manhattan yesterday - my first time - and it was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful day, lots of people, and the 'Show 'n Share' was a blast. I actually ended up meeting up with some friends and modeling a poncho and bag for one of them. Judith, whom I met for the first time, made this FANTASTIC car coat!!! It was unbelievably well-made and all these people kept wanting to touch it and take pictures. It was a blast! The best part was that DH accompanied me!

On the work front, I am absolutely swamped with projects (Open Enrollment, Budgets, Compensation Analysis, etc.) - all fun...NOT! What a way to earn a living...I would rather be crocheting!

Speaking of which, I haven't done much for the past week. I did finish the beach sarong for my friend and I made a square to contribute to 'Warm Up America' which I plan on contributing more to! I think it is a great idea.

Oh, there is a GREAT auction going on over at Crochetville!!! Can't wait to hear how it fared! So far, so good - lots of wonderful items (some handmade) to bid on and the bid amounts are definitely encouraging! Go have a look and participate!

Anyway, I now have to figure out how to get the items listed on my sidebar from the bottom of my blog page up to the top where it belongs...UGH!

Until later!
